How to collect and store egg shells correctly?
According to average estimates, a family accounts for up to 10 kilograms of fertilizer per year. The basic rule for collecting the shell is that the substance after breaking the egg must be put in a box and left to dry. To prevent protein residues from deteriorating and giving off an unpleasant odor, it is recommended to leave the shells in a warm and dry place.
As soon as the shell dries up, after 3-4 days it is broken and folded in paper bags or parchment paper. Do not transfer the shell to polyethylene. If this is done, it will deteriorate due to high humidity. There is an option with self-rinsing of the shell. You can also remove the substance from the boiled eggs, only without the protein pieces. From eggshells, you can independently make a liquid infusion at home to recharge the soil. To do this, you will need to follow these steps:
- Egg flour must be filled with water and transferred to a jar with a lid.
- The jar should be kept for 2 weeks, and the place should be dark and cool.
- After the expiration date, a cloudy shade of liquid with an unpleasant odor appears.
- The contents of the jar are diluted with water in a ratio of one to three and poured into the soil.
